| Pure Hoodia Diet Pill -
Phytoparm which is a pharmaceutical company owns the patent
to P57 which is the steroidal glycoside within Hoodia that
causes its appetite suppressing effect. In 1997
Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer entered a deal with Phytoparm
and tried to isolate P%7 into a form that could be marketed
to the public. Within several years of research, they
determined that this was not possible, and they pulled out
of the agreement.
For
years Hoodia was sold online by various companies and
individuals. They were selling dried, powered Hooodia.
However, the appetite suppressing ability of hoodia gordonii
is only found in large fresh pieces of the plant The amount
of P57 in the powder was such a small amount that it could
not produce the desired effect. The products present were
not regulated or inspected and were defnityl not a pure
Hoodia diet pill.
It
wasn’t until December 15 2004 that Phytopharm found a way to
extract P57 and successfully put the right amount into pill
form to be sold the public.
